AirAsia X eyes Adelaide for direct flights to Kuala Lumpur?

[size=1.2em]Low-cost carrier AirAsia X is planning flights from an additional Australian city to its Kuala Lumpur hub, and frequent flyers know what that means: a fare war for your business travel dollar to KL, connections to southeast Asia and even further afield.

[size=1.2em]Speaking to the tourism industry publication Travel Weekly, Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board director Shahrin Mokhtar let the additional AirAsia X route plans slip: "They are talking about one more," he said.

[size=1.2em]Adelaide has been mooted as the next logical AirAsia X destination in Australia, as the airline already flies to the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
